ERNA RAID is an international military competition taking place in Estonia on the first full week of August. The Umpire contingent is lead by team of Finnish Peace Keeping Veterans, who are also responsible for the project. The umpire unit will consists of about 70 Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Estonian veterans who have served in international peace-keeping operations or who are active in national reservist organisations.  Each competing team can also requested to provide one umpire.

All umpires are volunteers and they pay for their traveling expenses themselves as well as all other personal costs excluding the last night hotel accommodation and banquet.

The international Erna-military reconnaissance competition is arranged in the same area where the original Erna group operated. The competition is organised by Erna, the Estonian Military Sport Organisation and it is supported by the Estonian Defence Forces and the Estonian Home Guard. It was organised for the first time in the summer 1994 and became international in 1995.
